Career Fair to focus on Ohio's expanding bioscience industry
BioOhio event to be held Tuesday, Nov. 27

The 2nd Annual Ohio Bioscience Career Fair will be held Tuesday, Nov. 27 at the Holiday Inn Columbus-Worthington. The Ohio Bioscience Career Fair will feature more than 20 Ohio bioscience-related companies with employment or internship openings.

Coordinated by BioOhio and supported by the Ohio Department of Development, the free event will be held from 2:00pm to 7:00pm. Attendees are encouraged to bring resumes and dress professionally. Details and candidate pre-registration are available at www.bioohio.com/careerfair2007.asp. Candidates that pre-register will have their resumé included in a packet prepared for each exhibiting company in advance of the career fair.

Participating companies will come from cities throughout Ohio and include Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Alkermes, Battelle, Ben Venue Laboratories, Cincinnati Children’s Research Foundation, Diagnostic Hybrids, Eurand, NAMSA, WIL Research, and many others. These companies will be seeking candidates for positions related to medical research and development, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, QA/QC, regulatory, study management, toxicology, biochemistry, manufacturing, marketing, technical writing, and more.

Last year’s career fair attracted more than 250 job candidates, some of whom traveled hundreds of miles. BioOhio officials expect at least that many attendees on Nov. 27.
